Covid-19 Update - 2nd July 2020

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Housing services will continue to be offered remotely. You can submit queries to Home Options over the telephone on tel: 01633 656656 or via email to home.options@newport.gov.uk. Staff are working remotely to ensure that applications for housing are being processed and queries/ advice will be provided as quickly as possible. However please note due to the Covid19 pandemic fewer properties are available to be advertised and there may be times when there may be none or limited properties available for you to bid on.

For properties that are advertised we are working with partner housing associations to ensure allocations are not adversely affected and you will be contacted directly by landlords with advice on viewings and signing for tenancies if you are matched to a property.

Due to staffing issues with our printing department, we are unable to post the Home Options Advert to applicants as of 20th March 2020.  If you wish to receive a copy of the advert by email, please contact us to let us know.

We thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation at this time.

Welcome to Home Options Newport

If you are looking for affordable accommodation in Newport then this site will allow you to register on the site and then complete the Social Housing Application Form.  Once accepted onto the Home Options Newport Scheme you will be able to view the properties that are available to either rent or part purchase in the Newport area.

We aim to give you more choice in deciding where you want to live. Properties that are available for rent will be advertised each week and you will be able to apply for these properties once your application has been accepted onto the Home Options Newport register.  In all instances you will be required to provide an advance payment towards the rent charged should you be offered accommodation and this will be included within each property advert.  Advice can be found within the Housing Solutions Guide on a range of issues around housing, support, employment and financial issues.
