You will be able to apply for properties through Home Options Newport if you have an active Home Options application.
In order to register on Home Options Newport, you will need to complete the online application form. If you do not have access to the internet then you will need to contact us and assistance can then be provided. Once your application is completed, this will be passed to a member of staff who will assess your circumstances against the policy. Applications are not automatically accepted and there will be a delay between registering and having your application activated which can take upto approx 12 - 16 weeks. Once your application is activated, you will be allowed to bid for up to four advertised properties each week. If you are a tenant of of one of the partner Housing Associations you will be able to bid in the same way for a transfer.
Completing the registration form fully will enable staff to assess your application band and whether you are eligible to be considered for re-housing. Failure to provide a full five year address history will result in your application not being processed and us contacting you to complete all the outstanding information.

This Council and its partners are under a duty to protect the public funds it administers, and to this end may use the information you have provided on this form for the prevention and detection of fraud. It may also share this information with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds for these purposes. You should notify us of any other changes that may affect your housing application.
